Bio: Beth Preston holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master's Degree in Vocal Pedagogy. She is a member of the Voice Care Network, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA), and National Association for Music Education (NAfME). She has held positions at the state level for MENC and is a past president for the Maine Chapter of ACDA. She has directed choirs and coached singers for musical theater productions since 1982. Ms. Preston is the artistic director for Tapestry Singers, an adult community choir in Newcastle, ME. She teaches privately in her Nobleboro, ME studio, coaching classical and Broadway singers. She has sung with Vox Nova Chamber Choir in Brunswick, ME and with in the chorus of Portland Opera Repertory Theater in productions of La Boheme, Faust, Lucia di Lammermoor and Roméo et Juliette. She has provided the vocal coaching for most of Heartwood Regional Theater Company’s musicals and operas. Her high school students frequently place or win Maine NATS Musical Theater and Classical awards. A number of her younger students have been cast in Maine State Music Theater productions.
