Title: Music Teacher, Academy Co-Director
Description: Everyone can sing in some fashion – no doubt about it. But singing well, whether for professional aspiration or personal development, is a matter of study! Gentle, clear guidance from an experienced teacher, plus dedication on the part of a student, equal the successful development of solid, lifelong vocal technique. My teaching has been influenced by my own professors, my experience as a performer, and the writings of Marchesi, Liebling, Kodaly and others.
In my studio, you’ll learn to know your instrument, achieve excellent breath management, develop consistently beautiful tone, extend your range, use clear diction, practice effectively, listen well and critically, conquer intonation problems and deepen your understanding of rhythm. Sight-singing, music reading, audition preparation, solo and ensemble singing, repertoire development and foreign language diction are also emphasized – in harmony with your goals. All ages are welcome! Individual and group lessons are available.
