Bio: Molly is a classically trained turned jazz-fusion singer who has performed widely in the Denver metro area for the past 10 years. After receiving her B.A. from Colorado State University in voice with an emphasis in opera performance, she moved to the seedy underbelly of downtown Denver. Since then she has sung with bands ranging in style from punk to jazz to metal to bluegrass. She has collaborated with varied organizations such as Fort Collins Opera and Impact Dance Company. She once owned a record store, winning a Westword Best of Denver and used to sell poetry for tips. In recent years she has focused on singing jazz. Follow her website for details on upcoming gigs.
As a voice teacher Molly believes that anyone can sing. She will cater the lesson to suit your needs and help you achieve your personal goals. She teaches vocal technique so that you can manage and control your voice. Once you have a solid foundation to work from you will feel empowered to use your voice with the songs you love to sing. Molly is an especially supportive and encouraging teacher and loves to work with students of all ages and all levels. She is happy to help students with all vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock, music theatre, folk, country and Classical.
She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has completed Levels I, II and III at the Contemporary Commercial Music Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. Molly is an experienced public school classroom teacher and has worked in the special education field.
