2026 Emerging Leaders Award

The NATS Emerging Leaders Award recognizes and supports NATS teachers with 10 or fewer years of teaching experience by helping them attend the 59th NATS National Conference to learn, network, and grow. Winners will receive up to $750 to offset expenses for travel, housing, registration, food, and other related costs for attendance at Conference in San Antonio, TX, July 3-7, 2026. 

Instructions

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be an Emerging Professional or Professional member in good standing, with no more than 10 years of full-time teaching, or the part-time equivalent.
• Applicants should be active in NATS Chapter and Regional activities.
• For 2026, applicants must be from the Cal-Western, International, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-South, New England, Southeastern, Southern, or Texoma regions. Applicants from other regions will be eligible for the 2028 awards.
• Prior participants in the NATS Intern Program and winners of the Emerging Leaders Award will not be eligible to apply.
