The Department of Theatre at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Music Theatre beginning fall semester 2014.
The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree in music theatre, theatre, or music, and a significant record of professional experience in music theatre. Candidates who possess the MM degree in music or the BA/BFA degree in theatre with two years experience as a vocal coach/music director in an accredited university music theatre program and a significant record of professional experience beyond the academic arena will also be considered. Knowledge of a wide range of singing styles including classical, belt and pop is expected; and the ability to provide piano accompaniment for students is essential. The capacity to collaborate as a member of a well-established artistic team is particularly important for success in this position.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
