Job Description / Duties

Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate applied voice and diction. Additional responsibilities may include teaching courses in allied subjects as needed. Faculty members are also expected to participate in the recruitment of new students; serve as academic advisors; supervise student projects and recitals; and provide service to the campus, community, and profession.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Candidates must hold an appropriate doctoral degree (ABD will be considered), with previous success in teaching at the collegiate level preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, including a diverse population of first-generation students, within the context of a tier-one urban research university. Candidates should have an established record of performance and/or scholarship that effectively illustrates the promise for significant professional contributions at the national level.
