Job Description / Duties

This position is a full-time, continuing status track faculty position that begins fall semester 2014. Responsibilities include: 1) Teach voice to majors, including recital preparation and graduate research paper supervision; 2) Teach both undergraduate- and graduate-level vocal pedagogy; 3) Teach diction in the singing languages; 4) Oversee undergraduate- and graduate-level supervised teaching courses; 5) Teach other courses as needed; 6) Serve on recital and proficiency juries; 7) Take an active part in recruitment, including entrance audition adjudication; 8) Plan and organize enrichment activities in the Vocal Division (visiting artists, master classes, etc.); 9) Other citizenship activities as needed; 10) Maintain an active performance schedule at regional, national, and international venues; 11) Other scholarly or creative work as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications / Required Skills

1) Doctorate in Voice or equivalent professional experience required; 2) Teaching experience at university level preferred; 3) Evidence of high-level performing experience.
