Job Description / Duties

Duties will include teaching voice students (with particular focus upon soprano/mezzo-soprano) at the undergraduate and graduate levels and related courses that could include vocal pedagogy, diction for singers or Song Repertoire, as well as serving as a mentor for voice students. While serving as an active and collaborative member of the Vocal Arts Division the successful candidate would maintain a profile as a performing artist.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Earned doctorate in music, or a master’s degree in music with equivalent distinguished national/international accomplishments is required. A record of outstanding ability as performer and teacher is desired. The School is especially interested in soprano or mezzo-soprano applicants.

The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and has a full-time faculty of 40 with approximately 450 music majors.
