Category: College/UniversityThe Boston Conservatory is seeking an experienced Musical Theater Voice Instructor to teach a full-time studio, beginning fall semester (September 2015). Baritone or tenor preferred; all applications are encouraged and will be reviewed.
Responsibilities for the position include teaching applied voice to undergraduate and graduate theater students and other related courses dependent on candidate’s interests and the needs of the program. The person in this position will engage in service to the Conservatory, participate in active recruitment of students, sit on admissions auditions, participate in Voice Department meetings, attend recitals and performances as required, and grade student juries each semester.
Qualified candidates will have an established record of excellence in music theater voice teaching and a strong teaching pedagogy in Musical Theater. Functional piano skills are required. The position requires a minimum of a Masters degree; Vocal Performance, Vocal Pedagogy, or Masters of Fine Arts preferred.
