Job Description / Duties

The School of Music invites applicants for a tenure-track position in Music (with a focus in Voice), beginning in August 2015. The primary teaching responsibilities for the position are undergraduate and graduate applied voice, vocal pedagogy, and/or additional specialized voice courses, which could include vocal literature, diction, or other courses as appropriate. The candidate will also direct the graduate program in vocal performance, and coordinate undergraduate applied voice study, which encompasses a broad range of styles.

The qualified candidate will have a terminal degree in music, and at least three years (or the equivalent) of college/university teaching in the areas included in the position. The candidate will also have strong and collaborative leadership and administrative skills; proven success in applied and classroom settings; and experience with recruitment. The candidate will be an active performer.
