Job Description / Duties

Samford University's Division of Music invites applicants interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for the position of Assistant Professor of Voice (9-month, Tenure-Track) to begin August 2019.

Responsibilities will include teaching applied voice to undergraduate and graduate students; maintaining national prominence as a teacher/performer; fulfilling teaching assignments in related areas; maintaining creative/scholarly and service contributions for a faculty member; and actively recruiting students to the University.

A commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and colleagues is expected. The candidate should embrace the mission and vision of Samford University, the School of the Arts and the Division of
Music.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualified candidates will have an earned doctorate and/or exceptional professional experience; evidence of successful college/university teaching; expertise in teaching both classical and musical theatre voice students.
