Job Description / Duties
The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Voice / R0068209. The Assistant Professor of Voice will teach applied voice and specialized undergraduate content that contributes to the Bachelors of Applied Music and the Bachelors of Music Education, such as Diction and Voice Pedagogy. In addition to maintaining an active voice studio, the Assistant Professor of Voice will work with the School of Literary and Performing Arts administration to coordinate all voice studios and to advise applied voice students. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Required Qualifications: MFA, MM, DMA, PhD or other terminal degree in music or a related field. Experience teaching at the university level
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching singing in a diverse repertoire. Experience teaching singing in styles common in contemporary musical theatre. Experience advising students in college curriculum.
