Job Description / Duties

This full-time, Assistant Teaching Professor position will include teaching applied voice lessons, diction, and other classes as assigned by the department chair (including web-based courses). UWSP music is a thriving comprehensive music department including three choirs, opera workshop, vocal jazz ensemble, and many other opportunities for voice students. We are seeking a dynamic teacher that will recruit a diverse voice studio.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Masters Degree in Music
• A strong vocal performer and a proven teacher
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Doctorate in Music
• Recognition and accomplishment as a voice performer/teacher at the national/ international level
• Collegiate voice teaching
• Diction class teaching and other vocal-related courses such as song literature
• Opera directing/teaching
