Job Description / Duties

The NAU Kitt School of Music seeks a dynamic, creative, collaborative, and dedicated teacher of opera and voice. Responsibilities would include directing opera/lyric theater, teaching private voice lessons, weekly voice studio class, and other duties in the candidate’s field of expertise.

Qualifications / Required Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Lecturer
-MM or MA in voice or directing or related field.
-Two years' experience in opera or musical theater direction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Assistant Professor of Practice
Doctorate in voice or related field, or MFA in directing, or equivalent professional experience.
Two years' experience in opera or musical theater direction

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Mezzo-soprano
-Experience directing opera at the collegiate level or in professional settings.
-Experience teaching voice at the collegiate level
-Commitment to working effectively with NAU’s diverse faculty, staff, and student populations
