Job Description / Duties

The NAU Kitt School of Music seeks a dynamic, creative, collaborative, and dedicated teacher of opera and voice. Responsibilities would include directing opera/lyric theater, teaching private voice lessons, weekly voice studio class, and other duties in the candidate’s field of expertise

Qualifications / Required Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Lecturer
1) MM or MA in voice or directing or related field.
2) Two years' experience in opera or musical theater direction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Assistant Professor of Practice
1) Doctorate in voice or related field, or MFA in directing, or equivalent professional experience.
2) Two years' experience in opera or musical theater direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Mezzo-soprano
2) Experience directing opera at the collegiate level or in professional settings.
3) Experience teaching voice at the collegiate level
4) Commitment to working effectively with NAU’s diverse faculty, staff, and student populations
