Category: College/UniversityThe Fountain School of Performing Arts (FSPA) at Dalhousie University invites applications for two ten-month limited-term appointments in Applied Voice, at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor, commencing August 1, 2019. The positions are subject to budgetary approval.
The two successful candidates’ combined duties may include, but are not limited to: individual teaching of undergraduate voice students; class teaching of Vocal Pedagogy, Vocal Literature, and Voice Clinic for Actors; musical preparation for Dal Opera; sharing in departmental responsibilities, and performing in department events including the Faculty Chamber Series.
The minimum qualifications required for each position are a Master’s degree in vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, or equivalent. Significant professional experience as a singing artist and evidence of effective teaching at the post-secondary level are also required.
