Job Description / Duties

The Judith Enyeart Reynolds College of Arts and Letters at Missouri State University invites applicants for a tenure-track Coordinator of Musical Theatre at the rank of Associate Professor to begin in August 2023. The Coordinator holds an endowed position, the Clif & Gail Smart Professorship in Musical Theatre. The successful applicant must hold a terminal degree and professional experience in one of the contributing areas (Music, Theatre, Dance) and have a proven record of academic, administrative and professional experience, with significant achievement as a performer, director, music director, and/or choreographer.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Terminal Master’s degree (60 hours) OR Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (with significant commensurate professional experience) with an emphasis in acting, directing, musical theatre, music direction, and/or choreography. Professional affiliations with SAG/AFTRA, Actor’s Equity and/or SDC
