Job Description / Duties

We currently seek a new colleague to join our talented, dynamic, and dedicated faculty in the position of Applied Voice Instructor and Director of Vocal Studies. In this role, you may teach Applied Voice, Opera/Music Theatre Workshop, Diction, and other courses that align with your expertise. In addition, you will be expected to pursue research or creative works in vocal performance as well as actively participate in student recruitment and professional service and outreach.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
• Doctorate (or ABD) in Vocal Performance, Vocal Pedagogy, or related discipline
• Demonstrated record as a vocal soloist
• Demonstrate record of pedagogic excellence
Preferred qualifications:
• Collegiate teaching experience
• Experience teaching diverse styles and genres
• Experience supporting the success of students from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds

Additional Information

Appointment: Nine-month academic appointment in the Department of Music, College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to commence August 15, 2024
