Visiting Assistant Professor Of Music (Voice)

Whitman College

The Music Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in Music, with expertise in Voice, at the rank of visiting assistant professor, beginning August 2021. A completed doctoral degree in voice or a related field is required for the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor; candidates with completed doctoral coursework in voice or a related field will be considered at the rank of Visiting Instructor.

The successful candidate will teach a five-course load that includes Applied Music, Opera Workshop, and Music Theory 1. In addition, the successful candidate will serve as Director of Voice Studies, serving as a primary point person and liaison for faculty and students internal and external to the Music Department.
