Job Description / Duties

The successful candidate will teach a 12-credit hour course load for the fall and spring semesters that encompasses applied voice and other coursework as assigned; direct opera/musical theatre productions; perform student advising duties; provide service to the university community; pursue performance opportunities and other creative/scholarly activities; and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Required Skills

A terminal degree in a discipline of voice is preferred. ABD candidates will be considered. Experience in teaching collegiate-level applied voice is required. Experience directing opera/musical theatre, teaching collegiate-level vocal pedagogy, vocal diction, and vocal literature is preferred. Candidates must have a proven track record of professional work related to fully staged productions, concert work, and chamber music. A search for the regular position will occur in the next academic year, with the selected candidate for this visiting position eligible to apply.
