Job Description / Duties

The qualified candidate will instruct graduate voice majors in preparation of degree recitals. The qualified candidate will also teach appropriate vocal related courses of undergraduate and graduate sequences including diction and song literature. Musical collaboration for faculty recitals will be expected. Additional duties may include instructing piano students in the graduate collaborative piano program.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Completed graduate degree in collaborative piano or equivalent professional experience. Candidates must have experience coaching art song and opera at the post-secondary and/or professional level and have a strong commitment to diversity in teaching, recruitment, creative activity, and service. Knowledge of English, French, German and Italian diction is required. Experience coaching Spanish, Russian and/or Czech is desired. The qualified candidate should demonstrate extensive experience performing and collaborating with vocal and instrumental artists at the collegiate and/or professional levels and successful teaching of related undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level. Demonstrated ability and interest in working in a collegial and mutually supportive environment is expected.
