What's New > Amanda Wood joins NATS executive staff as membership and program coordinator
Amanda Wood has joined the executive staff at the National Association of Teachers of Singing as its membership and program coordinator, effective April 22.
Before beginning her career in non-profit organizations, Wood spent several years working for resorts throughout Florida. As a member of various resort sales teams, she was responsible for handling the meeting needs of government and association clients, which spurred her interest in the non-profit sector. Wood returned to school in 2010 to obtain her bachelor’s degree in management & organizational leadership, specializing in non-profits.
Wood’s responsibilities at NATS will include managing membership services for the organization’s more than 7,300 members, in addition to oversight of the various competitions and programs administered by NATS – including the Intern Program, Emerging Leader Program, National Student Auditions, Music Theater Competition, NATS Artist Award and Art Song Competition, among others.
“We are elated to bring Amanda on board with our team here at the national office,” Executive Director Allen Henderson said. “Amanda brings tremendous experience working with other national associations in her previous role, and her insight and energy will be great additions to our staff here at NATS.”
