I am just finding this obituary of Dale Moore on March 17, 2017. Of course, I was notified of his passing by one of his adult children and I was very grateful to be told by her. Dale Moore was my Beloved Teacher, Mentor, Colleague and Friend. I did my undergrad and graduate studies with him at Southern Illinois University and went on to teach there. He was a wonderful man, a generous person and teacher. I owe him a lot and took the time to express my gratitude years, and years before he passed...while he could still enjoy the compliment and acknowledgement. I am SO VERY GRATEFUL that he was my model for what an excellent teacher can be. I miss him.
