What's New > Franco-American Vocal Academy sponsors new NATSAA award
The National Association of Teachers of Singing announced this week the establishment of the Franco-American Vocal Academy (FAVA) Award for an outstanding participant in the NATS Artist Awards competition. The $2000 prize will be awarded to the singer in the final round judged to have exhibited highest levels of excellence in the performance of French repertoire during the competition.
“We are pleased that FAVA has sought to recognize NATSAA contestants with this award and appreciate their support of NATS and its programs in this way,” NATS Executive Director Allen Henderson said.
The inaugural prize will be awarded at the NATSAA finals on July 5, 2014, in Boston at the 53rd NATS National Conference. NATSAA will award more than $50,000 in cash and other prizes in 2014.
The mission of the Franco-American Vocal Academy is to discover, educate and inspire promising vocal talent.
