What's New > Interlochen Center for the Arts to offer merit-based scholarship for NSA high school finalists
Interlochen Center for the Arts and the National Association of Teachers of Singing share a long history and hundreds of student musicians who value their experiences with both organizations.
Now, for the first time, Interlochen is offering NATS competition winners up to a $10,000 scholarship to the boarding Arts Academy high school and a 50% tuition scholarship to the Summer Arts Camp program. These students will remain eligible for additional merit and need based financial aid. The Interlochen prizes are valid for the Fall 2019 or 2020 and the Summer 2020 seasons. Students must still apply and be accepted to one of the programs to redeem the prize. Interlochen will also waive the $65 application fee.
At Interlochen, students will be surrounded by empathetic artists pursuing their passion and join a community who impact the future of the arts all over the world every day.
The full list of prize amounts from Interlochen include:
• 1st place winners: $10,000 merit-based scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy and/or a 50% scholarship to any three or six-week Interlochen Arts Camp program
• 2nd place winners: $7,500 merit-based scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy and/or a 50% scholarship to any three or six-week Interlochen Arts Camp program
• 3rd place winners: $5,000 merit-based scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy and/or a 50% scholarship to any three or six-week Interlochen Arts Camp program
• Remaining Finalists: A $1,000 merit-based scholarship to any three or six-week Arts Camp program
The 2019 NSA competition takes place at St. Olaf College, June 27-28, in conjunction with the NATS Summer Workshop.
