What's New > Lloyd Mims approved by NATS Board of Directors as secretary/treasurer
Due to unexpected circumstances, NATS Secretary Treasurer Kathryn Barnes Burroughs tendered her resignation this month as NATS secretary/treasurer. In accordance with the association bylaws, the Board of Directors has appointed Lloyd Mims to fulfill the unexpired term through July 2014.
Because Burroughs was also a candidate for a second term as secretary/treasurer in recently announced national elections, Mims has also agreed to be a candidate for a full term (2014-2016). Mims previously served as NATS national secretary/treasurer from 2008-2012.
“Lloyd Mims brings considerable experience as an accomplished administrator to the position and we are appreciative of his willingness to return to the NATS Board of Directors in this capacity,” said Allen Henderson, NATS executive director.
Mims has also served NATS as a regional governor and is currently Dean of the School of Music and Fine Arts at Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Fla.
