What's New > NATS and ACDA partner to provide vocal screenings at ACDA National Conference
In a first-ever event at an American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Conference, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and National Center for Voice and Speech (NCVS) will offer live video stroboscopy demonstrations and live scoping opportunities for attendees at the ACDA National Conference in Salt Lake City. Stroboscopy procedures allow viewing of vocal function and health of the vocal folds and attendees will be able to view their own vocal folds during the exam.
Demonstrations and exams are available during exhibit hall hours at the NATS booth - #423/425. Space is limited and attendees will be able to sign up at the booth for an appointment.
“We are pleased that we could partner with NCVS to provide this unique voice education experience to attendees at the ACDA Conference,” NATS Executive Director Allen Henderson said. “The ongoing partnership between NATS and ACDA has brought voice teachers and choral directors together to discuss topics of mutual interest and this unique opportunity will help educate all attendees.”
NATS members are encouraged to share this information with colleagues and students who will be attending ACDA.
