I am glad we are now approaching this topic at a more pedagogical level. While some trans singers may encounter additional delicate stages in their training, they should be able to depend on teachers to not only be sensitive to their vocal health and training. We should also be advocates. We need to be aware how the voice is actively and passively gendered. We need to unpack and loosen some of the cisnormative lingo surrounding singing, and of voice types. Though most importantly, we want people to love their voices. It's all about listening.
