What's New > Wisconsin-Platteville student Amanda Zasada joins NATS office as summer intern
Amanda Zasada, a vocal music major from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, joined the National Association of Teachers of Singing national office on June 2 to complete a summer internship made possible by the UW-Platteville PACCE Internship Program.
The internship will last three months at the NATS office, which is located in Jacksonville, Fla. Zasada will work in various capacities within the membership and marketing departments, in addition to attending the 53rd NATS National Conference in Boston July 5-9.
Zasada works as a music librarian on the UW-Platteville campus and has recently started giving private voice lessons. She has taken on various leadership roles during her years at UW-Platteville and she will serve as an assistant music director for the 2014-2015 school year's fall opera workshop and spring musical. She has enjoyed performing in many stage productions, and favorite roles include Sister Amnesia (Nunsense), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel, abridged), Patty Simcox (Grease), Adele (Die Fledermaus, scenes), Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), and the “O Bless the Lord, My Soul” Soloist (Godspell).
