During our 75th Anniversary, NATS shines a spotlight on Evelyn Harris, whose teaching career spans 60 years.
During our 75th Anniversary, NATS shines a spotlight on Evelyn Harris in the “NATS for a Lifetime” Showcase series. Throughout all her years of teaching, now 60, it has been necessary for Harris to keep learning new styles of singing such as Broadway, CCM, country, “pop”, “belting” and others. She attended Brigham Young University on academic and music scholarships, where she earned a B.A. and later, her M.A. in music. Last year, she received a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Based in Ogden, Utah, Harris still teaches a few private students for college credit and has an active alumni choir – Weber State Alumni Singers. READ MORE
