Bio:

Jennifer Burks, soprano, is known for her “lovely, gleaming soprano voice” and “effortless virtuosity”. She performs a wide range of repertoire and has a passion for early and chamber music. Jennifer has an extensive resume spanning opera choruses, competitions, concert appearances, and private teaching. She holds an MM in Vocal Pedagogy from the New England Conservatory of Music where she honed her skills as an evidence based voice professional.

Jennifer's voice studio, Real World Voice Co, was created to provide a space for people to work toward their singing goals without the pressure of perfection. After over 17 years of training, Jennifer understands how crushing those expectations can be. So far in her 6 years of private teaching she has been able to cultivate a studio that is inclusive of all experiences and genres, and communicates sustainable vocal technique that is individual to each singer that comes through her door (or zoom room!). Jennifer is especially passionate about changing voices; ages 11-18 and 55+. Whether you are a professional voice user or just love to sing, you are welcome here!
