Bio: Molly McLinden has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Millikin University, where she studied with mezzo-soprano Kathryn Hartgrove. At Millikin, she performed in main stage operas as well as participated in masterclasses with international opera stars such as bass-baritone Alan Held. Additional studies include the inaugural year of the La Musica Lirica young artist program in Italy, and coursework at the Boston Conservatory of Music. Performances with Opera on Tap as well as the Lira Ensemble. Other training includes workshops and studies in Dalcroze, Alexander Technique, musical theatre, improv, audition techniques, voice care, belting, rock vocals, and mind-body connection. She has taught private voice since 2002. Ms. McLinden has taught at the Paul Green School of Rock , the Schaumburg Academy of Music and Dancenter North in the Chicago area, and music directed a children's musical theatre camp at the Genesee Theatre. She has also lead drama, vocal, and improv workshops at private schools and non-profit organizations. Currently she teaches out of her own private studio in the Chicago area , but is accessible to students everywhere with online voice lessons!
